LA ENTRADA DE HOY NO TIENE FOTOS.

Igual que no tenemos agua en la plataforma. Hace tres dias que no tenemos agua potable. Las botellas de agua mineral se terminaron, y solo queda algo de zumo, y Coca Cola y Sprite. Uno de los barcos de aprovisionamiento trajo un contenedor con botellas, pero el oficial de aduanas de abordo no permitio que lo subiesen a la plataforma porque no tenia los papeles adecuados. Se refiere a los papeles de 100 dolares. Y el contenedor se lo llevaron de vuelta a tierra. Y nos dicen que hasta que no este claro el contenido de ese contenedor, no se permite que ese, u otros de identico contenido, o sea, agua potable, sean transportados abordo. Y claro, los papeles necesarios para que esto ocurra, BP, la petrolera a cargo de la operacion, se niega a ponerlos en los bolsillos adecuados... pero, ?por que yo mismo no llamo a las cosas por su nombre?
LAS AUTORIDADES RUSAS NO PERMITEN QUE NOS TRAIGAN AGUA SIN UN SOBORNO.

La plataforma tiene desalinizadores de agua, y se realizan controles cada dia para comprobar la potabilidad. Nadie se atreve a beberla despues del caso de contaminacion por Escherichia Coli que hubo hace unos meses tras beber esta agua. Y de todas formas, el agua alrededor de la plataforma tiene demasiado plancton para que los filtros lo limpien, y se han atascado. Un barco se ha alejado 100 millas para intentar limpiar agua con sus filtros... habra suerte?

TODAY'S POST HAS NO PICS

As we don't have drinking water on the rig. It has been three days already with no water. The bottled water ran out, and we just have some juice, Sprite and lots of Coke. One of the supply barges brought a container full of water, but the onboard customs officer did not allow it on board, as it has not the proper paperwork. He meant the right 100 dollar paperwork. And so the container was carried back to shore. And we have been told until the content of the container is not clear to the customs, neither that container, nor any other of similar contents will be allowed onboard. And of course, BP, the oil company operator for the rig will not put the proper paperwork in the right pockets... but why not call things by its own name?
RUSSIAN CUSTOMS WILL NOT ALLOW WATER ON THE RIG WITHOUT A BRIBE.
THE BRITISH COMPANY BP WON’T PAY IT AND RATHER LET US WITHOUT WATER.
Which one of them is worse? The rig has de-salinizer plants, and controls are made daily to check if it is drinkable... but nobody drinks it after the case of E. Coli registered a few months ago after drinking that water. Besides, the filters have blocked as the water around the rig is too heavy with plancton. So a boat will travel 100 miles south to try and clean some water for us... what will it be?
