This is a little tribute to Mike Zeck. His great covers for GIJoe were one of the sweetest moments of many people's childhood, mine included. And now it is possible to re-live those moments in the new GIJoe that I am publishing in Spain throught the Recerca line.

Esto pretende ser un pequeno tributo a Mike Zeck. Sus portadas para GIJoe supusieron algunos de los momentos mas dulces de la infancia-juventud de mucha gente, yo incluido. Ahora es posible revivir esos momentos en la nueva serie de GIJoe que estoy editando en Espana a traves de la linea Recerca.

Hola a todos. Me gustaria presentaros a alguien. Es mi novia, Elena. Es la persona con la que quiero estar el resto de mi vida, porque nunca he sido tan feliz con nadie. Nunca me he sentido tan bien , y me gustaria que lo supiera todo el mundo.

En estas fotos solo podeis ver lo guapa que es y nada mas, pero cuando podamos conseguir viajar juntos a Espana podreis entender por que soy tan feliz por estar con ella. Elena es rusa, y vive en Rusia , y donde yo estoy viviendo ahora tambien para poder estar con ella.


Today I would like to introduce to you somebody. My girlfriend, Elena. She is the person with whom I would like to stay for the rest of my life beacuse I have never been so happy with anyone before. She is Russian, she is in Russia now, where I am staying too so we can be together.

I have never felt so good and happy and I want everybody to know.

In these photos you can only see how beautiful she is, but when we can travel to Spain together you will undestand why I am so happy with her.



Esta fotografia es del pasado fin de 2005 en Helsinki. Tengo muy pocas fotos de Elena, pero esta es mi favorita. Esta guapisima, y el tranvia le da un ambiente de pelicula francesa de los 50 total.
This is a picture of the past 2005 New Year Eve in Helsinki. I have very few photos of Elena, but this is my favourite one. She is very beautiful and the tram gives it a very French 50's film kind of look.
Y esta fotografia es de nuestra visita relampago a Madrid. Se que nadie tuvo la oportunidad de conocerla, espero que nos perdoneis, pero fueron unos momentos robados a la realidad de los visados y los papeles. Sentada debajo de palmeras, su planta favorita.

And this photo is of our quick visit to Madrid. I know nobody had the chance to meet her in person, and I hope you will forgive us, but those weer some moments stolen of the reality of visas and paperwork. She is seating under palms, her favourite plant.

A place like this crappy rig in Sakhalin gives you the chance to see the best and the worst the world has to offer. The best is a dawn like this:

So, some good meals, but not from the rig, of course. These photos are taken in two restaurants in Saint Petersburg. Blow Up in the Nevski area, and Organic, not far from Tecnologiskiye Institut.

This is Via Gra, my favourite Ukranian band. Very soon you will know about them as they started singing in English. I foresee they will be more famous than T.aT.u. They have five albums already, and recently signed a contract with Sony for 5 more. My top 5 songs are Bomba, Stop Stop Stop, Biologia, Popitka n5 and Ne ostavlyay menya lyubimiy.

Estas son las chicas de Via Gra, mi grupo ukraniano favorito. Muy pronto las veremos por toda Europa, ya que han empezado a cantar en ingles. Preveo que se van a hacer mas famosas que T.a.T.u. El horror... han vuelto. Apenas llevo tres días en esta plataforma y ya he vuelto a ver la imagen que me perseguía en mis pesadillas... las cabezas de pescado estofadas. Con sus ojitos, y sus agallas, y sus dientes, y sus escamas, y su cartílago... mmm, se me hace la boca agua y las tripas se me descomponen sólo de pensar en ellas. Prometo hacer una entrada acerca de comidas buenas que he tenido antes de venir a este trabajo para compensar.

The horror... they are back with a vengeance. It has been hardly three days since I arrived and I have already seen the imapge that haunted me in my nightmares… stewed fish heads. I am really speechless… please, learn Spanish and read the description I made there because I can´t do it again, it is too much for any man to stand that twice in a day. But I promise to post some photos of good meals I had before coming to the rig to make it up to all of you.

Ha vuelto a pasar un tiempo desde que hiciera una entrada. Entre que la conexión no funcionó durante un tiempo, y que luego he estado viajando, no he podido escribir, excusas para todos mis seguidores incondicionales, que deben de ser pocos. Vuelvo a estar en el trabajo en Sajalín, en la misma plataforma que ya visité el año pasado. El viaje fue largo, tres días, y necesité tres aviones, dos autobuses y dos barcos. Como el avión ya lo conocemos todos, pongo unas fotos del barco en el que vine a la plataforma (13 horas de trayecto), y del cambio de tripulación hecho en la cesta elevada con una grua.

It´s been a while again since my last post. Connection did not work, and then I wsa travelling back to work in Sakhalin. So here I am on the same rig than last year. The trip took two buses, three planes and a boat. I am posting just photos of the boat and the crew change done by basket lifted by a crane.
